446. John Wendal Hartlen\ HIRTLE⁽¹³⁾⁽⁶⁶⁸⁾ was born on 29 Dec 1876 or 29 Dec 1867 in Charleston, Queens, Nova Scotia. He died on 27 Jul 1966 in Milton, Queen's, Nova Scotia. Blair Whynacht's files list a John Wendal HIRTLE who was born on 29 Dec 1876 and married Rosie DEMONE on 26 May 1898. Steven Hartlen lists a John W. Hirtle/Hartlen who was born on 29 Dec 1867. Since this date is less than 9 months prior to the birth of Joseph Hiram Hirtle, my assumption is that Whynact, not Hartlen, is correct. Also, Hartlen lists his wife as Rosie Demone, but gives the marriage date as 3 Jun 1888.

John moved to Milton and his last name got changed to Hartlen.

He was married to Rosie DEMONE on 26 May 1898 or 3 Jun 1888. Rosie DEMONE⁽⁶⁶⁸⁾⁽¹³⁾ was born on 8 Jan 1872. She died on 13 Feb 1953. John Wendal Hartlen\ HIRTLE and Rosie DEMONE had the following children:
