5. John Leonard HIRTLE (31) was born in 1734 in Germany. He emigrated in 1751. Aboard the "Pearl." He died on 7 Dec 1809 in First South, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. He was buried on 9 Dec 1809. [Apparently the head of family's payment of Lutheran Church dues
covered the whole family, so perhaps, until 1783, Jacob's dues were held to cover his
brothers & their wives & children- also, perhaps, their father: Michael, then an old
widower, probably lived with one of his sons]

Metzger, Hans George, Lunenburg, butcher, from Wurttemberg, ae 40 in 1752, d. 1752/3. m. Rosina Margaret, who m. (2) 18 Sept. 1753, Henry Drexler, widower. Ch. Anna Barbara.

Therefore Anna Barbara Metzger would have been Anna Barbara Drexler at the time of her wedding, as the clerk Bell faults above, notes.

He was married to Anna Barbara METZGER on 26 Oct 1756 in St. John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg, Lunenburg, NS.(11) Marriage by Rev. J.B.E. Moreau. Register of Marriages, St. John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg:

"1756, Oct. 26 - JOHN LEONARD HIRTLE to ANNA MARIA DRESSLER, by Rev. J.B.E. Moreau (page 3)." Anna Barbara METZGER (32) was born in 1735 in Germany. child44 ix. (John) Leonard HIRTLE(35) (38) was born on 4 Aug 1780. He was baptized on 16 Aug 1780 in St. John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg, Lunenburg, NS. (39) He died on 19 Sep 1801. (Not from Thoresen)

He was married to Anna Maria WACKER on 17 Aug 1802 in St. John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg, Lunenburg, NS.(11) Register of Marriages, St. John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg:
"1802, Augt. 17 - JOHN LEONARD HIRTLE, Widower, to ANNA MARIA MEISNER, Widow, by Richard Money, Missionary and Rector," (page 11). Anna Maria WACKER(40) was born about 1758. She was baptized on 19 Jan 1758 in St. John's Anglican Church, Lunenburg, Lunenburg, NS. Thoresen has Mrs. Anna M. Meisner. Gail Facini's GEDCOM file has Anna M. Wacker. Palch has added a note: "John Leonard b. 1734. 2nd wife - widow of John Caspar Meisner, daughter of Abraham Waker + Dorothea."
