He was married to Sophia Elizabeth CONRAD (daughter of ) on 30 Nov 1788 in Zion Lutheran Church, Lunenburg, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. ⁽¹¹⁾ Sophia Elizabeth CONRAD ^(35)(112) was born in 1766. ⁽³⁵⁾ Facini gives the date as 17 Aug 1764. She was christened on 17 Aug 1766. She died on 28 Oct 1828 or 1839. ⁽¹³⁾ Thoresen says 1839; the date of 28 Oct 1828 comes from Whynact. She Conflicts Thoresen and Facini have conflicting dates for birth, and Thoresen and Whynact conflict on deaths.. John Michael HIRTLE and Sophia Elizabeth CONRAD had the following children:
