248. Sophia WHITMAN ^(531)(532) was born on 5 Dec 1824.⁽⁵³³⁾ She died on 25 Apr 1913.^{(534) (535)}

She was married to James MACLEOD on 12 Dec 1846. ^(536)(537) James MACLEOD⁽⁵³⁸⁾ resided in Port Dufferin West, Halifax, Nova Scotia.⁽⁵³⁹⁾ Other children are listed in Hartling's book; they have not been added here. Hartling also says that James spelled his name McLeod, though the family now spells it MacLeod. Sophia WHITMAN and James MACLEOD had the following children:
