was established at Beaver Harbour in 1887, Jacob Hartling, Junior became the
first post master." He died on 20 Jun 1892.

Nova Scotia, CA.(740) Philip Hartling
wrote:
"His [Jacob Hartling, b.1801] sons were also ship carpenters. A schooner
owned and undoubtedly built by Jacob, John, and Alexander Hartling was the _Speculator_,
of 99.92 tons. It was constructed at Beaver Harbour in 1867. Another vessel
built by Jacob Hartling, Junior was the _J. W. Young_: [description of the J.W.
