2. Maria Barbara Elisabetha ENGELHORN ⁽⁵⁾ was born on 8 Jun 1708 in Hockenheim, Palatinate, Germany.⁽⁶⁾ She died on 6 Dec 1783.⁽⁷⁾

She was married to Georg HERTTEL on 22 Jul 1727.⁽⁸⁾ Georg HERTTEL⁽⁹⁾⁽¹⁰⁾ was born on 1 Jun 1687.⁽¹¹⁾ He died on 3 Sep 1736. "In Johann Michael Schmitts family Bible, he [Georg Herttel] was said to have been the blacksmith of the hunting outfit of the Elector Palatine at Bruchhausen." Maria Barbara Elisabetha ENGELHORN and Georg HERTTEL had the following children:

5 i. Regina Barbara HERTELL was born on 30 Jun 1736.⁽¹²⁾⁽¹³⁾ Note: Bell's transcription has JAN, Wright uses JUNE. I am guessing Wright knew his handwriting better and am going with JUNE. She died on 30 Oct 1801.⁽¹⁴⁾

7 iii. Susanna Elisabeth HIRTLE⁽¹⁵⁾ was born on 10 Feb 1729.⁽¹⁶⁾ She died on 20 Feb 1803.⁽¹⁷⁾ Winthrop Bell in his notes indicates that the Elisabeth who married George
FANCY was Susanna Elisabeth HERTTEL, sister of Johan Martin HERTTEL and
step-daughter of Johann Michael SCHMITT. The HERTTEL/SCHMITT family bible
gives her birth date as 10 Feb 1729 and her death date as 20 Feb 1803, but
it does not give any identification of her husband.

Thoresen suggests that George Fancy married Elisabeth HIRTLE, daughter of Hans Michael Hirtle, but this would seem to be incorrect.
8 iv. Johann George HERTTEL⁽¹⁸⁾ was born on 29 Apr 1731.⁽¹⁸⁾ He died on 31 Jan 1733.⁽¹⁸⁾
